The 2013 New Hamburg Live! Visual Arts Show includes an unprecedented number of artists – 39 visual artists will exhibit their work in 11 downtown locations. The exhibitors include the members of the Stonecroft Painting Guild, who are participating in New Hamburg Live! for the first time.
As well, 23 more accomplished professional and highly skilled amateur artists are exhibiting their work, across of variety of media.
Below is the Art Show Walking Tour; Tour Brochures are also available at all exhibitors. We appreciate the willingness of these local businesses to participate as venues; their commitment to the arts in this community is to be commended. We also thank Stonecroft Homes, sponsor of the Art Show.
The intriguing, historic architecture of the buildings in New Hamburg's core will be the focus of a unique presentation that is part of the New Hamburg Live! Festival of the Arts. The event, entitled "A Matter of Place", will feature two prominent local history experts discussing "the stories behind the storeys" – tales of the heritage buildings that add so much ambience to the community. Featured guests are Marie Voisin and Ernie Ritz. Voisin is the author of the well-researched "William Scott and his Extended Family".
Thanks to our friends at Cress-Ridge, The Community Players, and the Township of Wilmot and New Hamburg Board of Trade for their help in letting the world know about New Hamburg Live! Festival of the Arts.
